Cree has announced the official launch of the XLamp® XP-G LED, which is known as "the brightest and most efficient lighting-grade LED in the industry". With a drive current of 1A, the luminous flux is up to 367 lm and the luminous efficiency is 111 lm/W. Compared with the previously introduced XR-E LED, the brightness is increased by 46%, the performance is also increased by 64%, and the volume is reduced by 80%, only 3.45x3.45mm.
According to Paul Thieken, director of marketing for Cree's LED components, XP-G is built for customers who have the highest level of LED brightness and efficiency, and has set a new standard in LED performance.
