Analysis of the lighting project of the building of Inner Mongolia Bank Building

Objectively speaking, the media facade has more color and scene changes than the floodlighting and better energy-saving effects, and has a higher cost performance than the HD display. With such advantages alone, we believe that the technology will have a broad market space and role in the next year or two.

The question is, will such technology be like a guardrail tube, and it will be flooded and screamed? Analysis of the application process of the guardrail tube, from the development to the current situation, we found that the initial popular, from the owner to the designer are irrational, blind. Because this method was indeed the most fashionable at the time, no other means could be found. No one can estimate the rapid development of LEDs, from the use of self-satisfaction to the sneak peek of even less than three years.

When the surrounding buildings are wrapped in colorful pixels, a limited number of graphics and greetings preset by the controller are played. Prices are also falling because of the rush of manufacturers and competition. We have reason to believe that when the owners and designers discuss the lighting plan two years later, the results will be self-evident.

Can the media facade only play animations and slogans? Can you express some architectural ideas like traditional lighting, rather than a blunt communication window? Can you make the nighttime expressions smarter rather than simply moving closer to the HD screen effect? In theory, I believe that hardware manufacturers will definitely give a positive answer, but in practical applications, architects, lighting designers and owners have neglected an important role, that is, visual effects designers.

Visual effects are similar to the post-production of film and television, but the special effects designers or teams on the media facade should have the basis of video production. At the same time, they should have good experience in architecture and lighting design. After a certain artistic creation, they can be established according to the media. All the hardware conditions, such as pixel points, elevation dimensions, and control methods, are tailored to the final media facade. It not only displays patterns and texts, but also uses surrealistic expressions to show the symbolic and fashionable graphic changes. It provides an infinite space for imagination and creativity. Such content can avoid the above situation, so that the "life" of the media facade is longer.

Through the case of the Bank of Inner Mongolia, we deeply understand this. In the initial stage of design, we examined the urban lighting environment in Hohhot. Like all provincial cities, most of the building lighting methods use simple changes such as guardrails and simple control to generate horse races and colorful gradients. Forms, seemingly colorful, in fact, the same, the high-end architecture and the night image of the small restaurant is no different.
