ImpactUnified, a Swedish video game and documentary production studio, announced that it has partnered with VR and AR Studio UNLTD to create the detective game "A Most Curious Murder".
In the game, players enter the police station and need to resolve the murder by finding evidence and watching surveillance videos. They need to search for evidence on the TV station, intercept screenshots of interesting and suspicious activities found in the video, and try to use these puzzles as evidence, and then gradually begin activities that lead to murder. The police station itself is a virtual world, but all the videos are real and give people a feeling of being there.
ImpactUnified CEO Simon Hultgren said in a statement: "Our game has a unique motion system. In a wide range of user tests, we found that this greatly reduced VR motion sickness and improved immersion.
“We are very excited to be able to release this game with Oculus. This is a wonderful collaboration with the Simon and ImpactUnified teams, and we look forward to releasing more new films in the future,†added UNLTD CEO John Hamilton.
