Domestic and foreign LED lamps standard big PK

Like traditional lighting products, LED lighting fixtures on the market need to rely on industry development standards and test methods to characterize their performance and safety. National standards and test methods are critical to the design of new lighting products and foster consumer confidence. In the following, we list the status of the publication of the relevant standards for the International Lighting Association (IEC), the US EnergyStar, and the IESNA LED Lighting Fixtures, as well as the standard conditions for the development of IEC LED lamps. The publication of GB national standards on LED lamps was introduced.

The current situation of domestic LED lighting standards

From the table summarized above, it can be seen that the LED national standards (only EMC) related to the LED luminaire-related international IEC standards (EMC only) basically meet the requirements for the current electromagnetic compatibility test of LED lamps. In addition to EMC, international IEC standards related to LED lamps are mostly concentrated on safety standards, and performance-related standards are still lacking.

In order to conform to international standards, China also issued the national standard GB/T20145-2006 "Light bio-safety for lamps and other systems" equivalent to IEC62471 in 2006, which provides technical support for the detection of photobio-safety performance of LED lamps. In the LED light bio-safety testing standard, since the LED was born in the semiconductor industry, the light bio-safety issues of LEDs have always been measured in accordance with the IEC60825-1 standard. However, as the research level continues to deepen, it has been found that the wide spectrum of the LED and the output characteristics of the diffused beam are significantly different from those of the laser. The IEC 60825-1 standard obviously cannot fully meet the needs of the development of the LED industry. In view of this, CIE released CIES009/E:2002 "Photobiosafety of lamps and other systems" in 2002. This standard assesses the photobiohazard of optical radiation emitted from lamps and lamp systems emitting wavelengths ranging from 200nm to 3000nm, including light emitting diodes (LEDs) but not lasers. This standard is suitable for evaluating the photobiosafety of LED luminaires. In the latest CTL proposal (PDSH0748), the standard concerning the bio-safety of LED light has been changed to IEC62471. At present, many European countries have begun to use the IEC62471 standard for the evaluation of the photobiosafety of LED luminaires. Therefore, from a technical point of view, the photobiological safety standards for LED lamps have now been formulated and can be used.
