The French Parliament has passed a bill encouraging the development of solar energy

The French National Assembly recently passed a bill to grant tax-free preferential policies to individuals who install solar panels within the prescribed area, hoping to encourage the development of new energy sources.

The French Ministry of the Environment issued a communique on the 23rd that the past law stipulates that the use of solar power is regarded as a commercial act, so both enterprises and individuals need to pay taxes, which also restricts the development of this new energy to some extent. The newly passed bill stipulates that individuals who install solar panels within 30 square meters will be exempt from tax.

For the French government, although the development of the solar industry is progressing rapidly, solar energy accounts for a small proportion of the renewable energy that has been utilized. The government plans to increase the current solar power generation by 400 times by 2020.

French Minister of the Environment Jean-Louis; Bolo pointed out in the communique that the transformation of the energy development model requires the participation of every citizen, and to encourage them to use new energy, they must be facilitated.

In the middle of last month, the French Ministry of the Environment announced a series of plans to develop renewable energy. The plan includes 50 measures covering bioenergy, wind energy, geothermal energy, solar energy and other fields, and strives to revitalize France by 2020. The proportion of energy in total energy consumption has increased to at least 23%.
