(1) The indoor room temperature thermistor plays a key role in regulating the cooling and heating functions. By comparing the actual room temperature with the setpoint, the microcontroller adjusts the opening of the outdoor electronic expansion valve and controls the compressor's operating frequency to maintain optimal performance.
(2) The indoor pipe temperature thermistor is used to monitor both overcooling and overheating conditions. Based on this data, the system can adjust the speed of the indoor and outdoor fans or control their start/stop cycles. This helps prevent cold air from blowing during heating and avoids unnecessary defrosting, while also managing the compressor's frequency or operation to ensure efficiency.
(3) The outdoor ambient temperature thermistor measures the external environment temperature. It allows the system to regulate the outdoor fan speed and adjust the compressor's operating frequency accordingly, optimizing performance based on external weather conditions.
(4) The outdoor pipe temperature thermistor monitors the temperature of the outdoor piping. Using this information, the system controls the electronic expansion valve’s opening and the compressor’s frequency. If the pipe temperature exceeds 60°C, the compressor will automatically shut down for safety.
(5) The outdoor compressor exhaust pipe temperature thermistor is critical for protecting the compressor. When the exhaust temperature reaches 115°C, the compressor reduces its operating frequency. If it exceeds 120°C, the compressor will stop immediately. Additionally, if the compressor stops more than four times within an hour, the system will activate a protective shutdown at 115°C to avoid damage.
(6) The top temperature protection sensor on the inverter compressor ensures safe operation. If the top temperature of the compressor exceeds 125°C, the overload protector will disconnect, sending a signal to the microcontroller to stop the compressor and prevent potential failure.
Note: While inverter air conditioners may use slightly different temperature sensors depending on the manufacturer, the core functionality and application remain largely consistent across models.
