The 5th Cross-Strait Information Industry Technical Standards Forum co-sponsored by China Communications Standards Association, China Electronics Industry Standardization Technology Association and Huaju Industry Common Standards Promotion Foundation was closed in Chongqing on February 27. The forum reached 23 consensuses in 7 areas including TD-SCDMA, green energy, mobile storage, AVS (second generation source coding standard), semiconductor lighting, IPTV (interactive network TV) and flat panel display.
TD-SCDMA field
1. The two sides of the strait jointly promote the further maturity of TD-SCDMA terminal products and promote the participation of more Taiwanese enterprises in the production and R&D of the TD-SCDMA terminal industry chain. Supports touch capacitor technology for TD-SCDMA handsets, and promotes Taiwanese companies to produce TD-SCDMA handsets that support China Mobile's OMS operating system (China Mobile's mobile operating system).
2. The two sides of the strait industry strengthened cooperation and actively promoted the construction of a TD-SCDMA test network in Taiwan; actively explored the application cooperation between Taiwan's 3G business and TD-SCDMA.
