Philips Lighting Sensor Ready plans to help domestic lighting take off

About the Philips Sensor Ready Certification Program

Philips Lighting has introduced the Sensor Ready Certified Partner Program to ensure that its products work seamlessly with third-party solutions. This initiative aims to expand the ecosystem of smart lighting by enabling greater compatibility between Philips Sensor Ready devices and external systems. The list of certified products now includes a wide range of Building Management Systems (BMS) and City Management Systems (CMS), allowing for more integrated and intelligent lighting solutions. By opening up its platform, Philips is encouraging manufacturers to develop smarter, connected lighting systems that can easily integrate with Sensor Ready technology.

The Sensor Ready driver is built on an open platform, making it easier for third-party components to be compatible and integrated into the system. This certification not only ensures seamless interoperability but also supports the broader movement toward smart, connected lighting environments.

Philips at the Hong Kong Autumn Lighting Show

At the Hong Kong Autumn Lighting Show, Philips Lighting emphasized its commitment to innovation and collaboration. With over 125 years of experience in lighting technology, the company is working closely with local manufacturers through its OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) support model. This approach helps enhance the quality and competitiveness of Chinese lighting products in the global market. Yang Lan, General Manager of the OEM Channel for Lighting in China, stated, “Globalization and the rapid development of LED technology are reshaping the lighting industry. Through our OEM support, we aim to help domestic manufacturers improve their core capabilities and bring better products to the world.”

Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Promotion Council, the Hong Kong Autumn Lighting Fair is one of Asia’s most influential lighting exhibitions. During the event, Philips showcased a comprehensive solution that included LED light sources, power supplies, multi-functional sensors, and control modules. The company also engaged with industry partners, offering hardware and software licenses to help manufacturers accelerate their smart lighting transformation.

Since introducing the Sensor Ready platform in China back in 2016, Philips has continued to expand its Certified Partner Program. Third-party manufacturers can now apply to have their components and sensors certified for compatibility with the Sensor Ready system. This enables them to create more scalable and intelligent lighting solutions that meet the demands of the modern market. To better serve the local market and help Chinese manufacturers showcase their innovations globally, Philips will continue participating in the Hong Kong Autumn Lighting Show in 2017. Alongside product upgrades and technological advancements, the company is leading the way in bringing intelligent, interconnected LED solutions to the Chinese market.
