Philips Lighting Sensor Ready plans to help domestic lighting take off

Philips Lighting has introduced the Sensor Ready Certified Partner Program, designed to improve compatibility between its Sensor Ready products and third-party solutions. This initiative aims to support a broader ecosystem by enabling manufacturers to create smarter, connected lighting systems that integrate seamlessly with Philips' platform. The list of certified products now includes Building Management Systems (BMS) and City Management Systems (CMS), expanding the range of compatible technologies available. By opening up its platform, Philips ensures that third-party components meet high standards of interoperability, helping to drive innovation in smart lighting solutions. At the Hong Kong Autumn Lighting Show, Philips emphasized its commitment to global collaboration. With over 125 years of experience in lighting innovation, the company is working closely with Chinese manufacturers through its OEM channel to enhance the competitiveness of local products. Yang Lan, General Manager of the OEM Channel for Lighting in China, highlighted the importance of events like the Hong Kong Fair as key platforms for connecting domestic companies with international buyers. During the exhibition, Philips showcased a comprehensive solution built around its lighting components, including LED light sources, power supplies, multi-functional sensors, and control modules. The company also engaged with industry partners, offering hardware and software licenses to help manufacturers accelerate their smart transformation. Since the introduction of the Sensor Ready platform in China in 2016, Philips has continued to expand its certified partner program. Third-party manufacturers can now apply for certification of compatible components and sensors, allowing them to tap into new markets and lead the shift toward intelligent lighting. To better serve the Chinese market and promote local manufacturers on a global scale, Philips plans to continue participating in the Hong Kong Autumn Lighting Show in 2017. Alongside product and technology upgrades, the company is driving the development of an innovative ecosystem that brings smart, interconnected LED solutions to the forefront of the lighting industry.
