From January 18th, six "standards for testing toxic and hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products" were officially implemented. ROHS stipulates that electronic products should be free of cadmium, hexavalent chromium, lead-free, mercury-free, PBB-free (polybrominated biphenyl) and PBDE (polybrominated diphenyl ether). After the entry into force of this regulation, all electromechanical products sold in the EU market must comply with these environmental standards.
