The 6 environmental protection standards for mechanical and electrical products have been officially implemented recently.

From January 18th, six "standards for testing toxic and hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products" were officially implemented. This was issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Certification and Accreditation Administration Committee in July last year in response to the ROHS Directive. The standard pays attention to the environmental protection requirements in the ROHS Directive to domestic electronics manufacturing companies.

The European Union has previously issued a mandatory standard ROHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) for toxic substances in electromechanical products, which will take effect on July 1 this year. ROHS stipulates that electronic products should be free of cadmium, hexavalent chromium, lead-free, mercury-free, PBB-free (polybrominated biphenyl) and PBDE (polybrominated diphenyl ether). After the entry into force of this regulation, all electromechanical products sold in the EU market must comply with these environmental standards.
