Apple iPad may use low-end display

According to the upstream supply chain manufacturers, Apple’s planned 7.85-inch iPad may use a narrow bezel display to increase the viewing area.

The 7.85-inch iPad is said to have been designed to reference the performance of similar products from Amazon and Samsung Electronics, allowing Apple to continue its leadership position on tablets. However, Samsung seems to be expected to launch its next-generation 7 and 10.1-inch Galaxy tablets soon.

The 7.85-inch iPad may not use the new ipad's retina display, and the 7.85-inch iPad is likely to use IPS/FFS displays from LG Display and AUO.

The 7.85-inch iPad is aimed at the tablet computer market below $300, with a possible sale price of $249-299.
