Taiwan University successfully developed LED spectrum to cultivate Cordyceps militaris technology

Taiwan University of Big Leaf recently successfully developed LED cultivation technology, which only needs 1/8 of the incandescent power consumption, and can cultivate Cordyceps militaris, which greatly reduces production costs when oil and electricity rise. The research and development results have been transferred to Darong Biotech, and the global market sales value is estimated to exceed NT$600 million.
The cultivation technology of Cordyceps militaris fruit body developed by Taiwan University of Big Leaf to find out the LED spectrum combination most suitable for the growth of Cordyceps militaris, and to increase the yield of Cordyceps militaris fruit and cordycepin.
The president of the University's College of Biotechnology said that household incandescent bulbs are full spectrum, and it takes 55 days to culture hyphae. LED bulbs can be applied to different stages of light and wavelength according to the growth stage of Cordyceps, and only 35 days of hyphae can mature.
