Application of GM7130 / 7230 in automotive electronics

GM7130 / 7230 is a step-down PWM voltage regulator chip provided by GAMMA. It is an original imported product. It can be functionally compatible with 2576/2596, each has its own advantages in performance, and has a better cost performance. The specific performance is introduced as follows:

· Maximum input voltage: 40V, HV is 60V;

Output voltage: 3.3V, 5V, 12V and ADJ (adjustable) etc. optional;

· Conversion efficiency: 75% ~ 88% (different efficiency at different voltage output);

In practical applications, the GM7130 / 7230, which complies with vehicle regulations, is used by many automotive electronics manufacturers and is used in products such as car taillights, car audio, car instrumentation, signal lights, and GPS navigators. Work normally in harsh environments such as high temperature and high current.

The GM7130 / 7230's maximum output current of 3A can meet the high current requirements including car taillights and signal lights, and can work normally under high current conditions for a long time. The maximum input voltage of 40V, the limit input voltage is 45V, under the normal car battery output 24V voltage, fully meet the requirements, even if a pulse voltage twice the input voltage is generated in a short time, it will not cause substantial damage to the chip (experiment It is proved that using a pulse voltage of 60V, the chip will not be damaged if it is continuously impacted 300 times in 1 second).

If the actual operating voltage exceeds 24V, it is recommended to choose the HV model-GM7130HV. GM7130 / 7230 can work normally in the temperature environment of -40 ℃ ~ +125 ℃, which meets the automotive requirements of the chip required by the car regulations. The thermal resistance of GM7130 / 7230 is 36 ℃ / W, which is much lower than the general thermal resistance of 50 ℃ / W, and generates less heat. At the same time, the large packages of TO-220 and TO-263 are convenient for heat dissipation, which can guarantee GM7130 / 7230 can work normally in the small space of the car.

In addition, the output accuracy of ± 2%, which is lower than the ± 4% output accuracy of the general product, and the accurate frequency of 52KHz, make the GM7130 / 7230 more stable output power, reduce the impact damage to the load, and ensure the entire system Working stability.

Operating temperature range:

Mini Door Lock Motor should be used at a temperature of -10~60℃.

The figures stated in the catalog specifications are based on use at  ordinary room temperature catalog specifications re based on use at ordinary room temperature  (approximately20~25℃.

If a  Lock Motor  is used outside the prescribed temperature range,the grease on the gearhead area will become unable to function normally and the motor will become unable to start.Depending on the temperature conditions ,it may be possible to deal with them by changing the grease of the motor's parts.Please feel free to consult with us about this.


Storage temperature range:

 lock motor  should be stored ta a temperature of -15~65℃.

In case of storage outside this range,the grease on the gearhead area will become unable to function normally and the motor will become unable to start.


Service life:
