32nm Atom Cup: Hardware Support DX10 Drive Don't Think Intel quietly announced the entry-level desktop processor CedarView-D Atom D2000 series, and will later launch the new CedarView-M Atom N2000 series for netbooks. In addition to adopting a new process, another major highlight of this batch of processors is that the new graphics core hardware supports DX10.1. However, the integrated strength of Intel's integrated graphics drivers has once again been “strengthening”, and DX10 support can only stay on the hardware. .

According to Intel's latest specification documents, the integrated graphics core of the Atom D2700/N2800 is called the GMA 3650, and the operating frequency is 640MHz. The Atom D2500/N2600 is the GMA 3600 and the operating frequency is 400MHz. Both support DirectX 9 (PS 3.0) and OpenGL 3.0. Contrary to hardware-supported DirectX 10.1, OpenGL 3.2.

Previously there was news that Intel could only provide 32-bit system DX9 drivers at the initial stage, 64-bit systems may be completed before the end of the year, there is no specific timetable for DX10 drives.

The latest news confirmed the more tragic reality:

1, 32nm Atom currently only Beta Beta version of Windows 7 DX9 driver.

The final official version of the 32-bit Windows 7 DX9 driver will be released in November.

The final official version of the 3, 64-bit Windows 7 DX9 driver will be ready in early December.

4, DX10 version driver will not be released!

In fact, Intel did mention DX10 in the specification, but it was just a 64-bit floating-point color format, NPO2 Tiling, 180-degree rotation, and several edge technologies that were not related to the overall situation.

It is also understood that support arrangements for Smart Connect smart connection technology and WiDi wireless display technology were implemented in the first quarter of 2012.
