Chubais pointed out that Russia's unified power system company hopes to reach an agreement with China on the export price of China's power supply at the end of this year, after which the company can draft a specific plan for China's power export.
The Russian media has previously reported that the Breya hydropower station on the tributary of the Amur River in the Russian Far East will become Russia's power export base to China. The power station was the last large-scale hydropower construction project in the former Soviet Union. Construction began in 1976. In 1985, the project was frozen due to lack of funds.
