Carrier Plate Tester Instructions
1. Install the load beam on the rear axle weight of a 10-ton truck. The distance from the rear of the 12T truck to the rear axle should be about 0.8 meters, and secure the load beam with clamping plates and fastening wires.
2. Choose a representative measurement point, sprinkle a small amount of even sand around it, place the carrier plate, and turn it so that the sand is evenly distributed and fills the small pit on the surface. Press the edge of the carrier plate with your fingers 2-3 times in a straight line to check if it is tilted.
3. Slowly start the vehicle so that the middle part of the load beam at the rear of the car is just above the carrier plate.
4. Place the hydraulic jack in the center of the carrier plate. If the height is insufficient, you can place a pad (multi-sleeper) under the jack to center it. You can also adjust the screw of the jack to fine-tune its position.
5. Position the deflection probes of the security deflection meter (self-prepared) on the leveling wires on both sides of the carrier plate. Attach the dial gauge of the deformation instrument at the end of the deflection meter.
