Analysis of the future development and application of LED lights

LED car headlights have finally entered the market prospects for production cars after years of technical verification and concept car display. There are three landmark events: Toyota's Lexus LS600h is the world's first A listed car with LED headlights, but it only uses LEDs on the low beam, and the remote source is still a halogen. The Audi R8 features a full LED headlamp, while the LEDs used in automotive lighting are supplied by Lumileds and Osram. The Cadillac Escalade Platinum Platinum Multi-Player is the first multi-purpose sports car with LED headlamps.

Obstructing the LED light source to quickly develop the disadvantages of the automotive market

Does the above-mentioned milestone event mean that LED headlamps will immediately become an innovative technology in the field of mastering automotive light sources? According to experts predict: maybe not. Because even if the cost of LEDs can continue to decline at the foreseeable rate of Moore's Law, it will take years to reach the same price as the HID (high-intensity discharge) xenon lamp; and the cost of the LED family should be reduced to halogen. If the lights are comparable, it will take a longer period of time.

According to Hella's president Fischer, the size of automotive LEDs currently accounts for only a small percentage of the light source market, so it is aimed at high-volume models (such as the GM/Chevrolet Malibu models). The matching supply is extremely interesting. However, LEDs have to overcome a series of technical and cost challenges in order to achieve the same high-volume supply level as the Malibu models, at least for a decade.

Visteon pointed out that the pace of LED entry into the market is indeed slower than originally expected. In 2004, we predicted that LED lights would soon be blown into the market and HID would be eliminated. Obviously, the current situation is not the case, although it has been expected that LED technology can evolve faster than reality. It seems that high cost is not the only factor that hinders the LED market, and there are still challenges in technical performance that need to be overcome. For example, in the case of a single light source, the illumination intensity of the LED is still insufficient. However, if the single point is not bright enough, it is difficult to achieve the following wishful thinking: reducing the number of LED light sources constituting the combined luminaire will help to reduce the space occupied by the automobile luminaire and be easy to flexibly arrange, and simplify the wiring and installation of the lighting system and reduce the production cost.

Fiber Optic Patch Cable is also known as Fiber Optic Jumper or Fiber Optic Patch Cord. It is composed of a fiber optic cable terminated with different connectors on the ends. Fiber Optic Patch Cables are used in two major application areas: computer work station to outlet and patch panels or optical cross connect distribution center. XRX fiber provides various types of fiber optic patch cables including single-mode, multimode, multi-core, armored patch cables, as well as fiber optic pigtails and other special patch cables. For most of the patch cables, the SC, ST, FC, LC, MU, MTRJ, E2000 connectors (APC/UPC polish) are all available.
