Bourns’ latest UPS models include features like ONT reset, cold start, overvoltage protection, and EMI/RFI filtering. The Bourns® MX1236 Series Indoor MicroFlex UPS is designed with a low-profile structure that allows stacking of up to three Li-Ion battery packs, increasing power capacity. It supports 50/60 Hz AC input from 100 to 240 Vac, delivering a rated DC output of 12 V / 3.0 A (36 W). In case of a power failure, the replaceable battery can provide up to 10 hours of backup power at 8 W. This model is UL-listed, making it suitable for ONTs, Optical Network Units (ONUs), Fiber to the Home (FTTH), and security systems. Available in models MX1236-L2-C7 and MX1236-P-C7, it includes a power supply, UPS battery, relay, and telemetry outputs. Replacement batteries are also available under the MX36-LC series.
The Bourns® MP1218-L1 series offers a compact indoor UPS solution that delivers continuous DC power and battery backup during outages. It accepts 50/60 Hz AC input from 100 to 240 Vac, providing a nominal DC output of 12 V / 1.5 A (18 W). The replaceable battery pack supports up to 6 hours of backup power. Output options include 7-cell 12 VDC power and telemetry, as well as 2-conductor bushing connectors for DC-only applications. The UL-certified MP1218-L1 series is ideal for GPON equipment, and replacement batteries are available in the MP18-L1 model.
Additionally, Bourns has introduced the MP1218-P series, a miniature indoor power supply that is UL-listed and specifically designed for 12 VDC fiber optic network terminals. It can also be used in VoIP, FTTH, and video applications requiring 12 VDC power. Models with seven-core DC voltage (Vdc) and telemetry are available to meet various installation needs.
